Mr Juned Patel commented: "Totally cloudy and negative sighting".

Not seen before sunset: On 02 Dec 2024, ICOUK member Mr Modoris Ali from Cradley Heath City in the West Midlands County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Rainy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Mr Modoris Ali commented: "It was raining and cloudy today, so was unable to see the moon".

Not seen after sunset: On 02 Dec 2024, ICOUK member Mr Faruq Bilbe from Reading City in the Berkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Binoculars.
Mr Faruq Bilbe commented: "The sun was not visible at sunset due to the cloud cover but appeared briefly through the trees on the right while setting. The moon was obviously going to be difficult to spot given the clouds, its low altitude and the trees and bushes on the skyline, but a break in the clouds might have allowed it to be visible through the bare branches. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any appropriate break in the cloud cover before the moonset (16:11)".

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "It was totally cloudy in York today (2/12/2024) so the moon was not seen. Most of the UK was also cloudy as per the weather forecast map".

Maulana Hidayatullah Patel commented: "I have seen the moon using Celestron 20x80 binoculars at 2.40 pm (over an hour before sunset). Note: the crescent is not visible in the picture below but the location has been circled. [Submitted on 5/12/2024 - Admin]".

Mr Faruq Bilbe commented: "I thought the low cloud might be a problem until I realised that the moon was even further to the left than I was expecting. After a while the sky cleared and the crescent moon came out nice and bright".

Mr Tahir Mahmood commented: "I was present with approx 60 Muslim brothers and sisters, to observe the most southern crescent moon for 18.6 years. I am pleased to confirm that the crescent moon was observed positively by the group including my son and I".

Seen after sunset: On 03 Dec 2024, ICOUK member Eng Qamar Uddin from York (Rufforth) City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Binoculars.
Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "The Jumada Al-Akira 1446 Hilal was seen from York (UK) on Tuesday, 3 December 2024 (corresponding to 30 Jumada Al-Ula 1446). It was over 59 hours old, but only 4° altitude at sunset and it was seen just after 4 pm GMT when it was about 2° altitude. It was not seen yesterday (2/12/2024) due to the very low altitude of the moon during the Major Lunar Standstills, even though it was seen in other equatorial countries like Morocco. We hope to see the next few Hilals at a very high altitude (as a payback for the low altitude) in the next few months and possibly before other equatorial countries (e.g., on 27/5/2025), InshaAllah. It was a binocular-only sighting as the moon went into a dark bank of clouds before it could be seen by the naked eye (as seen in other places). See the YouTube Video".

On Monday, 2nd December 2024 (29th Jumada-I 1446 AH), the Hilal of Jumada Al-Akhira 1446 was not sighted in the UK (Local), according to the rules of Shariah. Therefore, the month of Jumada Al-Ula 1446 AH will complete 30 days, and the month of Jumada Al-Akhira 1446 AH will start on Wednesday, 4th December 2024, InShaAllah.
