The crescent visibility map below for Dhul Qa'dah 1443 shows that the moon will be born on 30 May 2022 at 11:30 GMT/UT, but it will not be visible by the naked-eye anywhere in the UK to Morocco region on that date. However, on 31 May 2022 the moon will be easily visible in the UK and in most countries of the world. Hence, the month of Dhul Qa'dah is most likely to start from 1 June 2022, InshaAllah.

Not seen after sunset: On 30 May 2022, ICOUK member Mr Juned Patel from Bolton City in the Greater Manchester County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Mr Juned Patel commented: "On Monday, 30th of May 2022 between 21:15 to 22:00 (Sunset 21:26 & Moonset 21:55) at Location: Rivington Rd, Bolton, UK; I attempted to sight the crescent moon (Hilal) of Dhul-Qaidah. I was not able to sight the Hilal. The western horizon was completely covered with very dense clouds and started raining".

Not seen after sunset: On 30 May 2022, ICOUK member Mr Modoris Ali from Cradley Heath City in the West Midlands County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Mr Modoris Ali commented: "The skies it was totally cloudy, so I was unable to see the moon. However, I will make an attempt tomorrow, Insha Allah to look for the moon".

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "It was almost totally cloudy in York today (30/5/2022) such that even the sunset was not seen. The weather forecast seems to suggest most of the UK was cloudy too, so we do not expect any positive sighting reports".

Mr Hatim El-Harrak commented: "This evening, I made an attempt to spot the crescent of the month of Dhul-Qi'dah 1443 AH. As it was not possible to see the crescent from Tangier".

We were first able to see crescent 21:45 using binoculars then observed with naked eyes by myself and my two children, Alhamdulillah. However, we were unable to capture the hilal in a photograph as the clouds soon moved into the way".

Ms Shemanara Haq commented: "Negative sighting from Saltburn-by-the-Sea until almost moonset time. Sunset time was at 21:33 and moonset time was at 23:11. Also used binoculars and was not able to see hilal. Sighting with a group of total 4 Muslim sisters (incl Sr Lucy and Sr Julie) and 2 non-Muslim ladies and 4 children. Large cloud cover where hilal would be sighted in NW direction did not provide much gaps. First photo was taken at 21:15 before sunset and the second photo was taken at 22:07 with iPhone 12. Announcement for start of Dhul Qa'dah 1443 AH
On Monday 30th May 2022 (29th Shawwal 1443 AH), the Hilal of Dhul Qa'dah 1443 was not sighted in the UK to Morocco region. We have also received a negative sighting report from Morocco Awqaf Ministry (login to view). Therefore, the month of Shawwal 1443 AH will complete 30-days and the month of Dhul Qa'dah 1443 AH will start from Wednesday 1st June 2022, InShaAllah.
