Mr Juned Patel commented: "I, Juned Patel, sighted the crescent moon (Hilal) of Safar 1442; today on Friday, 18th of September 2020 (29 Muharram 1442 AH); from location Belmont Rd, Rivington, Bolton, UK. The Crescent moon was sighted with a naked eye at 19:33. There were a total of 10 people from Bolton Moonsighting Group all together and everyone witnessed the crescent moon, Alhamdulillah. I must say the moon was extremely faint and could barely seen it".

Mr Ruhail Ahmad commented: "Seen at 19:09, picture taken straight away".
Middlesbrough
Not seen after sunset: On 19 Sep 2020, ICOUK member Ms Shemanara Haq from Middlesbrough City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Ms Shemanara Haq commented: "Sunset 7.10 pm and moonset at 8.21 pm. Negative sighting with naked eye. Photos taken with iPhone 7 before and after sunset at 7.01 pm and 7.46 pm".

Ms Victoria McAndrew commented: "A cloudy evening but alhamdulillah a parting of the clouds for a few minutes allowed the moon to be seen [from Near Crymych]".

Seen after sunset: On 19 Sep 2020, ICOUK member Eng Qamar Uddin from York City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Binoculars.
Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "Once again it was totally cloudy near sunset point, but I was able to see the Hilal for few seconds at 19:27 BST (using binoculars) but the dark clouds covered it very quickly before I could take a photo of the Hilal. The white circle in the attached photo (after sunset) shows where the Hilal was seen".

Mr Younes Foster commented: "Partly cloudy sky but seen by 4 brothers briefly before [the crescent] disappearing behind clouds".

Seen after sunset: On 19 Sep 2020, ICOUK member Hafiz Dr Ayyub Patel from Abha City in the Asir County (Saudi Arabia) mentioned that the sky was Clear, the crescent was Seen by Naked-eye.
Hafiz Dr Ayyub Patel commented: "The crescent moon was easily seen today from Abha town centre".
Announcement for start of Safar 1442 AH
On Friday 18th September 2020 (29th Muharram 1442 AH) the Hilal of Safar 1442 was sighted in the UK and Morocco region. We have also received a positive sighting report from Morocco Awqaf Ministry (login to view).
Therefore, the month of Muharram 1442 AH will have 29-days and the month of Safar 1442 AH will start from Saturday 19th September 2020, InShaAllah.
Note that Saudi Arabia do not normally make any official Hilal Sighting announcement from Safar to Shaban (as they usually follow the Ummul Qura Calendar in these months).
