The crescent visibility map below for Shaban 1440 shows that moon will be born on 5 April 2019 at 08:50 GMT/UT, but it will not be visible by the naked-eye anywhere in the UK/Morocco region on that date. However, on 6 April 2019 the moon will be easily visible in the UK and in most countries of the world. Hence, the month of Shaban is most likely to start from 7 April 2019, InShaAllah.

Not seen before sunset: On 05 Apr 2019, ICOUK member Mr Modoris Ali from Cradley Heath City in the West Midlands County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Mr Modoris Ali commented: "It has been cloudy, today. I will make attempt tomorrow to see the new moon if the weather is better, inshaAllah".

Not seen after sunset: On 05 Apr 2019, ICOUK member Shaykh Sulayman Gani from Croydon (Pollards Hill) City in the Greater London County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Shaykh Sulayman Gani commented: "I alone went out observe the Hilal from Pollards Hill in Norbury . I met Alex there. We both attempted to observe. The Hilal was not sighted it was totally cloudy".

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "I am about halfway on my way to London from York. Looking out of the windows of my train, it appeared totally cloudy. We were not expecting to see the Shaban moon today, even if it was clear. I hope we have better luck tomorrow, inshaAllah".

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "We held our first 'Crescent Moon Watch' event of York Astronomical Society today (6/4/2019) at our new observation location (Beetle Bank Farm), attended by about 40 people, including Imams and family/children, who were given a presentation on the Solar System before the observation attempt. Unfortunately, it was totally cloudy so we didn’t see the moon. However, everyone enjoyed their visit to the farm and learned something new about the universe we live in, Alhamdulillah. But, we have received a group sighting report from Blackburn (UK) today, Alhamdulillah".

Seen after sunset: On 06 Apr 2019, ICOUK member Hafiz Dr Ayyub Patel from Jeddah City in the Makkah Province County (Saudi Arabia) mentioned that the sky was Clear, the crescent was Seen by Naked-eye and Binoculars.
Hafiz Dr Ayyub Patel commented: "Some 30 hours old crescent moon for Shaban 1440 seen on 6th April 2019 at 7 pm from Leeth near Jeddah (200km South). The sky was very clear but near horizon, there was desert dust. This made it difficult to see initially. Used binoculars to locate around 20 min after local sunset at 18.39. Then it was seen by the naked eye".
Announcement for start of Shaban 1440 AH
On Friday 5th April 2019 (29th Rajab 1440 AH) the Hilal of Shaban 1440 was not sighted in the UK/Morocco region. We have also received a negative sighting report from Morocco Awqaf Ministry (login to view).
Therefore, the month of Rajab 1440 AH will complete 30-days and the month of Shaban 1440 AH will start from Sunday 7th April 2019, making 15th Shaban to be on Sunday 21st April 2019 (i.e. from the night of Saturday 20th April), InShaAllah.
Note that Saudi Arabia do not normally make any official Hilal Sighting announcement from Safar to Shaban (as they usually follow the Ummul Qura Calendar in these months).
