Not seen before sunset: On 05 Feb 2019, ICOUK member Mr Imad Ahmed from London (Beckton Alps) City in the Greater London County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Mr Imad Ahmed commented: "Waited for an hour in [East] London. Very cloudy though we had a good location".

Not seen after sunset: On 05 Feb 2019, ICOUK member Shaykh Sulayman Gani from London (Cranford) City in the Greater London County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Shaykh Sulayman Gani commented: "I offered my Maghrib Salaah at the Heathrow Masjid in Cranford. I made an announcement after the Salaah. The seven of us attempted to observe the crescent moon. It was cloudy, the crescent was not seen. The location was not good".

Seen after sunset: On 06 Feb 2019, ICOUK member Eng Qamar Uddin from York City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Naked-eye and Binoculars.
Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "It was totally cloudy in York (North East) today after sunset (16:54), but there was a small patch of light clouds near sunset position so I waited well after 1 hour (18:02) until the crescent moon appeared just for about 1 minute before the cloud covered it again. I already had my camera pointing in the right direction so was fortunate to take a few quick photos (and a short video) before it disappeared from the screen. I also read the Masnoon duaa for sighting the moon (while taking the photos) as I was able to revive the Sunnah of Moon Sighting from the UK, Alhamdulillah".

Seen after sunset: On 06 Feb 2019, ICOUK member Prof Abdelhadi Akarandou from Dakhla City in the Region De Oued Eddahab County (Morocco) mentioned that the sky was Clear, the crescent was Seen by Naked-eye.
Prof Abdelhadi Akarandou commented: "Hilal visibility on Wednesday [6/2/2019] was possible despite some dust on the western horizon. So, we completed the month [Jumada Al-Ula 1440] as 30 days".

Seen after sunset: On 06 Feb 2019, ICOUK member Hafiz Dr Ayyub Patel from Abha City in the Asir County (Saudi Arabia) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Naked-eye.
Hafiz Dr Ayyub Patel commented: "At 610 pm from Abha KSA after sunset, there was a massive cloud and the crescent was hidden behind it. It took around an hour before it dropped below the clouds. Crescent was seen but conditions did not allow a good photo".
Announcement for start of Jumada Al-Akhira 1440 AH
On Tuesday 5th February 2019 (29th Jumada Al-Ula 1440 AH) the Hilal of Jumada Al-Akhira 1440 was not sighted in the UK/Morocco region. We have also received a negative sighting report from Morocco Awqaf Ministry (login to view).
Therefore, the month of Jumada Al-Ula 1440 AH will complete 30-days and the month of Jumada Al-Akhira 1440 AH will start from Thursday 7th February 2019, InShaAllah.
Note that Saudi Arabia do not normally make any official Hilal Sighting announcement from Safar to Shaban (as they usually follow the Ummul Qura Calendar in these months).
